Hi everyone! This is my first time posting :)

BBAQ '09.... (adventure quest) a test on fitness... endurance... perservence... team effort etc
Swiss sent 3 teams
1)Cheng yew, shi jie, jansen, jasper (3 experienced sec4s/3, 1 'physically better than us' sec 2)
2)how kar, samuel, zheng wei, qian ren (1 experienced)
3)wen wei, gary, jing rui, ying xiang (none-experienced... all sec3s)

Race comprises of 3 legs
-running leg(15km) from HQ at ganges road to flyer/f1 track to People association(canoe)
-activity leg(10km) 2ppl canoe... the other 2 went to a soccer station... then run to achery place
-cycling leg (20km) cycled from one end of east coast to the other... went to tampines

3 april
we assembled at Dover at 5:15 after our BB short parade on friday
tested our bikes and transport to bike pick up point.
went to sponsoring church at PPH in pasir panjang to sleep
lights off at 10 but couldnt sleep... cheng yew and shi jie keep making us laugh :) wat jokers... also, it was too cold to sleep

4april
like i said... we couldnt sleep and woke up by 2am
packed and left to BBHQ to report at 3am
we were given the MGRs of leg 1 and plotted on the map
flagged off at 6:30am... we chionged all the way... but navigated wrongly and took a big detour:(

leg 2... the 2 sec 4s went for canoing... for about 4km or so... they took a really long time... wat to do...their single kayak capsized twice!!
in the end of canoing... team 3 were ahead of us.. team 2 were behind us
after that.. we chiong all the way to achery range...me and jasper went to do the achery..
saw team 3 members in front of us 5 placing... objective was to shoot 3 arrows each... and out of the six arrows, 3 must go inside the 3 different circles on the board
on our 1st try, none to the arrows hit the target!!! was sooo demoralised and disappointed :(
but thankfully on the second try, we manage to hit it with our last arrow...hahas... team 3 still shooting... they said they tried 8 times--3hours!!!and we didnt even see team 2 arriving!
every year, achery is the station that will allow those who can do well to overtake the others.

leg 3...cycled a total of 20km... had cramps while cycling... esp when we had to dismount and push across the overhead bridge... every step 1 took i felt pain in my leg... but couldnt give up:)
we perserved and continued all the way to the finishing line.. at the bike drop off point... me and shi jie's leg cramped again... :( hais.. another less than 1km and we cant chiong...
at springfield sec, the thought of finishing it made us place our hands around each other and jumped on the finishing mat.... we finished at 12pm and was allowed to sleep till 3:30 when prize presentation is held....

reached home at nine... was too tired to post :P... on sunday, me whole body was aching

results.... out of120 teams....
team 1) 25 placing 5h26mins
team 2) 70 placing 8h++
team 3) 64 placing 8h++

winning team is st Hildas sec.. gotten 1st and 2nd in 3hs 27mins...with less than 5min difference... supect that they cheated.. but no proof.. so 算 le....

overall...i think we did well for swiss!! well done!!
